Vancouver wants to trade defenseman due to injury to Filip Gronek. The Czech defender suffered an upper body injury on November 28 in a match against Pittsburgh.
After a force move by Penguins player Jack St. Ivany, Gronek hit the boards with his shoulder and neck and then left the court.
The exact nature of the 27-year-old hockey player`s injury has not been disclosed, but Sportsnet reported that Gronek is out for an extended period of time.
According to The Fourth Period, Vancouver has begun exploring potential trades to bolster its defensive line. Possible candidates include Ivan Provorov from Columbus, Marcus Pettersson from Pittsburgh, Mike Matheson from Montreal and others.
