The Spanish champions Real Madrid ended their participation in La Liga with a 2:2 draw away to Leganes in a match of the last round. Los Blancos had secured the title in the previous round, but failed in their attempt for the 11th consecutive victory. At the break Zidane replaced the goal scorer Sergio Ramos and released Nacho Fernandez. In the 54th minute, the hosts made a mistake in taking the ball, Isco controlled and in a famous way made a goal pass for Asensio. The Malagasy midfielder turned and led his teammate out with an outer rebate. Asensio had no problems scoring alone against the goalkeeper for 1:2.
In the 61st minute, Zidane pulled out his central striker Benzema and released Luka Jovic. Isco continued to play hard and impress with great technique. The hosts tried to retaliate and often attacked sharply.
In the 78th, the `white-blues` managed to equalize. After an action from the left, the reserve Asile took control in front of Militao and scored from seven meters - 2:2. This gave wings to the hosts. In the next minute Aviles received a great ball on the second post, but did not hit it well. In the 84th minute the ball was deflected from the first beam to Aviles, after which the Lega Aviles player headed inaccurately from a perfect position. The replays showed that Luka Jovic played with his hand, but unintentionally. The judge waited for a consultation with the VAR and in the end the decision was that there was no penalty. Until the end, Lega continued to attack dangerously, but never managed to score another goal.
